Pizza-Potato-Oat-FlourAre You Curious About This Month’s Secret Ingredients?

I was and am as I am always “on the food prowl” for a “fun-filled food challenge!

As you may remember, I created Joanna’s #Cardamom Fruit Rolls for last month’s post as it was the first Ssshhh Cooking Secretly Challenge thanks to Priya from Priya’s Versatile Recipes “adding a pinch of love to everyday cooking.”

The members are then split into pairs where the two new partners discuss what ingredient that can both make to try and surprise people; so that the secret ingredient is not overly obvious.

Partners then decide which secret ingredient will be be cooked ; an interesting challenge indeed!

Priya created this challenge to allow members to get to know other food blogger friends.

The challenge is about “cooking, chit chat and meeting a new food friend along the way!”

I think it is a terrific challenge and what a fun way to meet a new food friend.

My partner this month was Veena from Venna’s Veg Nation who created her lovely homemade Marinara Sauce that looks very yummy as her ingredients were tomatoes and onions which complimented my oat based pizzas topped with potato; my secret ingredients.
Marinara-tomato-sauceWe probably didn’t get to chat as much as we would have liked throughout the month, but we both got there in the end as I can now reveal my secret ingredients were oats and potato; hence I decided to grind my rolled oats creating a potato rosemary pizza!
Potato-pizza PotatoI am looking very much forward to what my partner created, so be on the lookout for her secret ingredient recipe!

As no recipe is really an original, I decided “for ease and simplicity” to incorporate Thermalina, my Thermomix, as she is always up for “playing with foods” and food challenges like in Hot Cross Bagels and #Easter Chocolate Fun and Should #Easter Foods REALLY Be This Fun?

For the base, I ground organic rolled oats to include in Ayah’s Thermomix Pizza Recipe as I have made this recipe before and love the “taste and consistency!”

The bases tastes like a biscuit says Chef Georgio!

Thermalina wishes to let you all she likes the recipe too! lol

As pizza toppings as based on personal taste, I always enjoy making “half and half” pizzas for two of my favorite toppings on one pizza!

Both sides were lightly covered with tomato paste infused with mixed herbs.

In keeping with my pizza tradition, one side included an assortment of garden greens sliced, sauteed onions, and then (thanks to Thermalina’s help), she made a smooth “textured cream” from Fetta with Pine Nuts & Purple Sumak (marinated Fetta by the Cheese Board in Victoria Australia.)

This was topped with balsamic vinegar with a splash of olive oil.

On the other side, included sauteed potato slices, fresh rosemary from the garden, sauteed onions with a dash of sea salt and drizzle of olive oil.

I can share that both sides were yum, but seeing potatoes are not normally included in my food lifestyle, I chose the initial side to devour with love; it WAS very yum and did not last long!
